ST. FLORIAN, Austria, September 20, 2021—EV Group (EVG), a leading supplier of wafer bonding and lithography equipment for the MEMS, nanotechnology and semiconductor markets, celebrated its 40th anniversary with a big event at the company’s headquarters in St. Florian am Inn, Austria on September 17th. Originally scheduled to take place last year, the anniversary celebration was rescheduled to this year (and renamed 40+1 Years EVG). With COVID-19 safety protocols in place, more than 700 people, including employees, local public officials, customers, partners and associates, enjoyed a festive, informative and entertaining evening.
The event kicked off with a pre-recorded documentary video featuring EVG founders Aya Maria Thallner and Erich Thallner discussing the founding of the company in 1980, the hurdles and milestones experienced over the past 40 years, all the way up to the present day where EVG firmly stands as a world-leading innovator in process solutions that support the manufacture of semiconductors, MEMS, nanotechnology and other related devices.
Afterwards, EVG’s management team thanked the employees and guests, reminded them of their shared successes and dared them to look ahead to the future before they welcomed Jean-Christophe Eloy, president and CEO of market research and strategy consulting company Yole Développement, to the stage. Eloy delivered a keynote address about the technologies and mega trends shaping the future of our world, as well as the new business opportunities that they bring to EVG. A short round of discussions and greetings with local public officials concluded the official part of the anniversary celebration, followed by an entertaining program that involved EVG’s guests, a buffet dinner and a live band that made many employees and guests come to the dance floor into the early hours of the next day.
